In 2000, the Maryland State Legislature created the best historic tax credit in the nation. Midtown Development responded immediately by developing an expertise in tax credits, and we have obtained more than $25 million in tax credits for almost 100 restoration projects. 

One of our most recent tax credit projects is 1308 Bolton Street in Bolton Hill, a spectacular Victorian Gothic house of 1882 that is known locally as “the gargoyle house.”  Working with the new homeowners, a young couple trading up within the neighborhood, we prepared applications for both State and City tax credits.  Throughout the construction period we have worked with the homeowners and their architect to make sure that the rehab fit the exacting criteria for the tax credit programs.  When complete, this will be one of the most spectacular buildings in Baltimore.
