When we bought this 1884 house, every piece of wiring and piping had been stripped out – along with all the mantels and interior doors.  What remained was a rabbit warren of tiny little apartments, vacant for years.  We brought the house up to code – roof, windows, mechanical systems – at which point splendid new owners bought it and completed a stunning restoration.
